Product Details; Dräger Multi IMS is a portable multi-gas scanner for the detection of chemical warfare agents. Nerve,
blood and lung warfare agents are detected through the use of a highly sensitive ion mobility spectrometer.
The Draeger Multi-IMS is a portable ionmobility-
spectrometer to pick up even the
smallest traces of chemical warfare agents.
Because of its compact design, extreme
robust enclosure and light weight (less than
28 oz. or 800 grams), it is ideal as a personal
measuring device or as a surveying
monitor after an event.
The keystone of the Multi-IMS is an ionmobility-
cell, based on the proven openloop-
ion-mobility spectrometry, with significantly
increased sensitivity and selectivity.
The clearly arranged display shows the user
measured concentration, the compound,
the selected library, as well as the battery
status. The operation of the instrument is
menu driven via three push buttons using
only one hand. The built-in datalogger
records the measured concentration as well
as all alarm events and can be viewed by
just pressing a button. The ability to operate the instrument with only one hand and the clear graphic display make Dräger
Multi IMS a reliable, personal gas scanner. When the alarm thresholds are exceeded, an optical and acoustic alarm sounds.
Beside the warfare agent's group, the concentration range and the trend graphic are indicated. For the details concerning the
employment of this instrument, an alarm histroy can be consulted. Data can additionally be transmitted digitally to a PC
system. Of course, the extremely durable structure, decontamination possibilities with liquids and the inexpensive expendable
